On this tour, you do not ascend to the summit, but circle the Kampenwand massif on a promising mountain path. From the mountain station, you will take Trail No. 20 that passes by the SonnenAlm to the left and leads uphill to the devotional summit cross. You should definitely make the short detour to the cross itself. From there, you can take in the glorious view of Lake Chiemsee and its islands. You will then continue your peaceful walk on the panoramic trail located on the north flank of the Kampenwand massif as you head towards Steinling-Alm.

You will walk past the Steinling-Alm as you turn to left and head downhill on the forest road leading to Aschau. Above the Schlechtenbergalm, the trail bends to the left and leads to an ascent towards the mountain station (marked as a LOWA test trail). You will then start the more challenging part of your circular tour here, a section that requires more grip and becomes somewhat steep at one short point. After walking a few minutes on the narrow path, you will see signs pointing the way to the mountain station through the woods. Following a walk through a small patch of trees, you will be rewarded with an unbelievable view of the Priental valley. You will then pass by the Möslarn-Alm on the left and head back to the mountain station and SonnenAlm.
